Moose sightings in Alaska are not uncommon, so it wasn't a surprise to see a moose walk across Mo's parents yard. They are interesting animals, scary enough where you don't want to get too close, but also very unassuming looking. Just a couple of days ago, we came across one riding our bikes and I gasped when I saw it, which was probably not the best thing to do, and I must have spooked it, cause it just ran off! They say that you should be careful around momma moose with their youngins, so whenever I see one with a calf, I head the opposite direction.....
