Well, we've started our new season of softball and our team is already 3-3! Yeah! It's looking better for us this time around. I love that they play year round here! The weather is perfect this time of year in Phoenix and I'm loving it! We're starting to see what people have been telling us about Phoenix in the winter. I'm really enjoying the mild weather. Mo on the other hand, enjoys the cooler weather, but misses snow! He can't stop talking about snow and how he misses it. I then proceed to tell him all that bad things about winter and snow and it calms him down for the time being. His rough days at school studying all day makes him think of all the fun he has in the snow and missing the familiarity of it. I figure when I get an inkling to see some snow, I know where the snow is, I'll go visit those areas when there's snow there, and then I'll be good! I spent too many winters chiseling the ice off my wind shield in sub zero temperatures to miss the snow just yet! I do enjoy snow skiing, so that is one dilemna that I have. I've heard of a few good places to ski here in Arizona, so we'll have to try them out this winter to see if they pass the test.
In other news, my job is going well. I'm still learning more and more everyday, which is very interesting, but it makes me extremely tired by the time I get home. I've decided mental exhaustion feels the same as physical exhaustion, except you don't reap a lot of physical rewards with mental exhaustion. I've found it extremely hard to keep on a exercise routine since I've started my job. I always feel better if I work out, but it's getting there that is hard. For the first two months, I went to a personal trainer once a week to help me learn what to do to keep myself in shape. He gave me some good ideas, but staying consistant is the hardest part. Leaving for work at 7 and rollin in from work at 5:45 doesn't leave a whole lot of time to do everything I want to do. I know, it's a part of life and get over it, but sometimes it feels good to just vent it out! One good point to bring up from all of this is that we could afford to buy this new dining room table because of it! That part definitely makes it worth it!

I LOVE the new dining table set! I'm sure it looks GREAT with the rest of your apartment! Way to go on 3-3 with your softball games. I'm sure that has been so much fun for you! We'll need to hang out again sometime soon! It feels like I never see ya anymore:-(
Super cute dining set! I love it! I'm glad to hear your job is going well, but sorry to hear that it doesn't leave you much time for anything else. Bummer! I'm with you on not missing the snow!
Year round softball? Sign me up - I'm moving! Love the dining set - way cute. Oh and good job on the update....you blog pro you! :)
Hey Julia, it's been fun reading up on all the new things in your life. Speaking of new, I like the table.
I couldn't agree more with you on working out. Even after BEING a personal trainer I find it difficult to MAKE it a part of my schedule as often as I would like.
I only miss the snow in December around Christmas, but like you said, we'll just visit the snow. It sounds like you've adapted to the AZ weather alright. Mo, maybe not so much. Good luck with your softball. Sometimes we get couples groups together to play volleyball. We'll let you know the next time we play and maybe we could make a day of it.
